Pretzel-Crusted Drumsticks

- ½ cup butter, melted
- ¼-1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup finely crushed pretzels
- ¼ cup chopped pecans
- 1-1/2 to 2 pounds chicken drumsticks and/or bone-in chicken thighs
- Preheat oven to 350° and remove skins of chicken pieces for a healthier option if desired.
- In a shallow dish or pie plate, combine the melted butter, cayenne (add more fore more zip) and garlic powder.
- In another shallow bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, chopped pecans and pepper.
- Dip chicken in butter mixture, then roll in pretzel mixture.
- Place in a greased 9x13 baking dish, or if you like crispier chicken, place on broiling rack with dripping pan underneath.
- Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 25 minutes, turn chicken pieces, continue cooking for 20-25 minutes more or until a meat thermometer reads 180°.
