A little late to the game, but it’s better late than never! I did his cake smash before his birthday, but I’m glad I waited to take his 1 year photos because the weather was gorgeous and I got to take them outside. Even if he was fascinated by the tall grass blowing in the breeze, I got some good ones!
I have done cake smashes for all 3 babies first birthdays, and Jonathan was actually really not into the cake! I bought him a little angel food cake with whipped cream and berries because he loves blueberries so much. That’s really all the interest he had…he just wanted to crawl around and wondered why the heck there was wrapping paper on the wall!
I admit I didn’t really encourage him to smash it too much because we ate it after and it was really yummy! He doesn’t really seem to have too much of a sweet tooth, the few times I’ve let him have cake/sweets anyway.
I absolutely love, and was totally thrilled with his birthday shirt by Ooe & Auti. She’s done the last many birthday shirts for our boys.
This photo just kills me with the drool! Me too, buddy…me too!
He just went for the fruit…
For his one year photos I had bought him an adorable plaid shirt with a navy blue tie with little foxes on it, but he ended up wearing that for his dedication.
Instead, I got out the bin of 18 month summer clothes (that he’s on the verge of outgrowing!) and found these adorable shortalls I bought from OshKosh when Braden was little!
I have always always loved navy blue on our boys, so I put a navy blue onesie on and I think he looks so sharp!
I only got 2 photos of a smile out of this guy, that’s all you need!
The grass is fascinating!
I also took a few photos of him and his brothers on the little power wheels tractor grandma won!
The last baby is 1! That’s a wrap!
