Ever since I started my Project 265 in 2014, I stopped doing a lot of my other photography-themed blog posts, including 10 on 10. However, since my 3rd year of Project 365 failed last year as it became too overwhelming, I still needed something to encourage me to document our lives better. I remembered (mostly) to do 10 on 10 for this month, which is on the 10th of the month, you take 10 photos on the hour, starting at 10:00 AM. It’s like a mini day-in-the-life project you can have every month. I also keep meaning to do a day-in-the-life post as I haven’t done that for over 3 years!
I started off strong with my 10 on 10…but then 5:00 rolled around and with 3 photos left, I got distracted with our weekly soccer night and forgot my camera at home. So, I improvise and will just provide you with 10 photos I took on May 10, not necessarily on the hour 😉
10:00 AM – My zinnia and roma tomato seedlings are really taking off, even though they’ve been knocked over by the kids 2 times. I’m almost in the mind set to transplant them and to also seed my garden.
11:00 AM – The little mister who hasn’t been sleeping very well because he’s cutting his molars is up from his nap. At least he’s been happy through it all.
12:00 PM – Braden is at school, Ethan is outside, and Jonathan is happily entertaining himself and I’m baking cookies for playschool while listening to My Favorite Murder podcast.
1:00 PM – A rare daddy sighting at home! He was working close to home so he got to come in and have a little rest and a visit.
2:00 PM – A smoothie and iPad break from playing outside for Ethan.
3:00 PM – The little guy is up from another nap and the boys are just being lazy and playing in the family room.
4:00 PM – Ethan comes in with a beautiful bouquet of dandies for me
So that’s where we went to soccer and this project got forgotten about! However, I took a lot of photos that day (the best thing about doing a project like this is it makes me get creative and passionate for photography again!), so here are 3 other photos I took on the 10th…
Dropping Ethan off for a ride in the sprayer with dad.
2 week old red hard spring wheat
Jonathan watching me bake cookies in his awesome new learning tower/kitchen helper stand.
Next month we will be doing an overnight trip to Banff and surprising the boys at an outdoor concert on June 10th, so we’ll see if I remember to do this in July!
