When we went to Disneyland one of the best pieces of advice I got was to rent a stroller. At first we thought this was crazy for a 6 year old and 3.5 year old boy…but it was the most useful thing about our trip. I rented a sit-and-stand stroller and it really made me consider wanting to get one, but a sturdier one, when we got home and were expecting our new baby in the spring. Especially because Ethan absolutely LOVED sitting in a stroller — who knew!
I wanted a better quality stroller with a few more options, and we were happy to receive the Joovy Caboose Stand-on Tandem Stroller to review. It has a graphite-coloured steel frame, making it of better and sturdier quality, which was what I was looking for. An absolute must with a new baby, was that it come with a universal car seat attachment, and the car seat sits nicely into the front of the stroller and is secured with a seat belt.
Ethan can sit on the bench seat comfortably, even with the car seat in place, or he can stand there too. We were sent the Caboose parent organizer, which I highly recommend having, as the stroller doesn’t come with cup holders or pockets otherwise. I’d say the only thing about this stroller that I’d change is the storage basket, and it can be hard to access from the bench seat and can’t hold too much, but the benefits far outweigh this one downfall.
One of the things I love most about this strolle is the variety of seating options. When Jonathan gets a little bit older, we will take the universal car seat attachment off and he can sit in the front seat with a tray or in the back with the Caboose Too Seat. We haven’t used ours yet, as Jonathan is too small, but here’s what it looks like, in red:
We have used our stroller, already, far more than I ever thought I would use a stroller with a third baby. Actually, I’m using a stroller more now than I ever have in my life because Braden didn’t like a stroller once he could walk and we didn’t really go out that much with Ethan to use a stroller. However, now that Jonathan is here and Ethan gets jealous of his use of the stroller, this is the perfect option for our family!
The Joovy Caboose is lightweight and very easy to push around and it folds up nicely in the back of our SUV. It’s every thing we’re looking for for our family. I highly recommend!
Disclosure: I received the Joovy Caboose, Joovy Parent Organizer and the Joovy Too Seat for the purposes of this review. No further compensation was received and all opinions on this blog are my own.
