It’s been a farming year full of adversities and challenges, but in the end it’s all in God’s hands and we were blessed with more than we deserved. We started out the growing season in a drought, but timely July rains salvaged the crops and we ended up with some fields with the best yields we’ve ever had, some fields with no yield and even baling some hailed-out wheat for the first time ever.
Harvest started August 2 and ended October 15. Here’s our annual growing season video, hope you enjoy!

I'm a nurse who married a farmer and I'm a boy mom of 3 to Braden, Ethan and Jonathan. I love blogging about family life, farming, recipes and embracing my role as farm wife and mom. I'm knee-deep in tractors, trains and trucks and I'm often seen with my camera in my hands catching life's moments.

If your heart is in farming you could not help but enjoy the video!!! Great job! Happy that you had a good year of farming. Best of luck for 2016!!!
Thanks, Keith!
Wow, what a cool way to capture the memories!! Not that we’re likely to forget #harvest15 anytime soon, though!! I’d love to share your video. I’m sure it will be an eye opener for those who are unfamiliar with farming practices. As well, provide a bit of nostalgia for those who have left the farm but still appreciate the hard work that goes into providing food for the world!! I really admire that no matter the challenges a true farmer always looks forward to the next growing season!
I LOVE your annual videos! Interesting to see that you straight cut canola; we do to, but it is uncommon in our area.
Thanks! This is only our 2nd year straight-cutting canola and we still do swath some.
