Christmas Eve! We drove up to my brother’s for Christmas Eve celebrations and my fave photo of the busy evening was of my niece politely telling her parents to pose for a picture so she could take one with her new camera!
We spent the night at my mom’s and then went back to my brother’s on Christmas morning. Matching cousin Christmas jammies continues!
On Boxing Day morning I went on my annual Christmas discount hunt in the city, didn’t have a terribly successful trip, and then after Ethan’s nap we went and toured a local dairy farm. It was absolutely awesome and I would love to tour more farms in Alberta next year!
The tradition of pond hockey and skating in Rosebud after Christmas continues. Ethan and I came to see the family after his nap and Ethan LOVES being carried around on the ice, but the problem is that he’s a tank…and it’s hard on the arms and back!
“God jul” ya! That’s “Merry Christmas” in Norwegian (so Google tells me, anyway!). Our family is a little bit in love with Nordic and fair isle sweaters, so the boys were a bit matchy matchy for church today!
Mom accidentally got Ethan (who is 2) a Mega Blocks set that is the size of real Legos…it is 778 pieces and it took Jay 5 hours to assemble. Needless to say, he absolutely loves it!
I’ve been working night shifts so I snapped this before I left for work at 6:45 PM. Messy TV room and boys gaming and winding down before bed.
I started the year with a photo of the landscape off our deck, so I finish with the same on New Year’s Eve!
Happy New Year everyone—I did it! I completed my first project 365 and I’m excited to keep doing it. I’m stepping down as my role of “host” for this project, sometimes you just gotta say no, especially for me when there’s so much else on the go, and especially when so many of those commitments on online and involving social media. Thanks for following along!
