Wow, what a week week 42 was! We’re almost in the 300’s and I’m still going strong taking my photos every day. I wish some days I would take more to have a bigger selection, but admittedly sometimes just snap one because I “have to”.
I did a photoshoot for Ethan’s Curious George 2nd birthday and I’m kicking myself because 1/2 way through I accidentally switched from manual to “A-DEP” and it really wrecked a lot of the one-time-only photos 🙁 But I edited as best I could and most will only be used in his yearly photo book anyway. Bigger picture. This is one that was shot with the proper settings!
I made it to the Four Seasons hotel for the Food Bloggers of Canada conference. My very first blogging conference and I’m so thankful to the Manitoba Canola Growers for sending me. Lots of takeaways from the conference which you can read here.
Toured around Vancouver on Saturday afternoon during our 4 hour free time and luckily it stopped raining and was gorgeous! This is the Vancouver harbour.
This was the last day of the conference and my one and only shot. I was just so done and so ready to go home, no energy to be creative. But I did have a front row seat to listen to the wonderful Adam and Matt talk about food styling and food photography. I want Matt’s book for Christmas. Hint hint!
One of my proudest mommy moments ever was seeing Braden at his first hockey practice. I’m officially a hockey mom you guys! One of my dreams come true. Braden said “this is so heavy!” regarding wearing his equipment for the first time, and “I can’t breathe!”. I assure you he could breathe and skate just fine, he had a blast!
I am back at work now, woke up from trying to sleep all day and snapped a photo of Ethan lazing on our bed with me.
