It was Papa’s birthday today and we had an impromptu party for him! This is Braden with his Papa and cousin Danika blowing out the candles on his cake.
My Braden finished his first year of playschool! One more year to go and then *gasp* kindergarten!
I hadn’t done a black and white photo for awhile and this one looked way better in black and white. I was trying to get a picture of Ethan feeding himself with a spoon, he’s getting really good at it, but of course he wouldn’t cooperate—why would he!? #toddler
During an all too brief rain shower the farmer checks the forecast on his iPhone. We could not be closer to rain, the clouds are there and it’s been grey and dreary for days…but we still have yet to get a good soak and we really need it!
I love this photo of Jay and the boys on Father’s Day at the farm! I’ve learned over the years that these photos are my favorite vs. the “smiling perfectly at the camera” pictures, because let’s face it—with kids, it doesn’t happen!
I had been working night shifts, I was just about to start my 3rd in a row and I had no motivation to take a photo other than at 11:00 PM before I left for work. So here’s RC Dusty Crophopper sitting as is on my kitchen counter.
Braden really wanted to be my photo for today, he told me he was going to play his guitar and sing me “Frozen music”. So sweet!
There we go! Please join us in our project 365! We have a great group, you can find us on Facebook and catch up on our guidelines here. A few people have started recently so you’re not alone!

Thanks, Jessie!
Love the father's day pic — and our family / posed pics NEVER turn out the way I saw them in my mind. Oh well…we'll remember it better that way, right? Also love Braden's last day of school pic. Theo and him will start Kindergarten at the same time. HOLD ME.

I've so learned to embrace these pictures—the candid ones are the best!

Thank you!
Oh that Father's Day picture is perfect!
We have the same phone check thing that goes around here. If the storm is really windy with a chance of hail, you can add in some pacing and peering out the window! lol.

Thank you, Marla! 🙂 My fave pics are the candid moments because with young kids it's VERY rare to get an "everybody smile at the camera" picture.
We got more rain last night and our family over the hill got more than us with hail. crazy weather!
