I gotta say I am SO GLAD this week is done. I think we are finally over the hump of all the illness and injury in our house. This day Ethan was the first child of mine (4 years and 4 months of parenting for me, to the day!) and first grandkid on both sides to get stitches. 2 on his chin when he fell of the island chair and split his chin open on the ceramic tile 🙁 OUCH! Hard to get a good pic at 7PM right before bedtime, but this will do!
Just relaxing. The kids pretty much lived in their jammies this week. Ethan’s belly! Plus, you can see how tired little Darth is there too.
Braden was finally feeling better today and we spent all afternoon outside while Ethan had a monster 3+ hour nap. We mowed some lawn and saw a huge grasshopper and it must be really lazy because it was still in the same spot when I finished. Finally got to use the cute bug catcher I bought him at Target this spring. He was THRILLED to observe “Hoppy” all afternoon.
A bit of a storm rolled through and there was a gorgeous double rainbow. This is the view south-facing off our deck.
Matching “Lazy One” pajamas!? Yes please! And thanks to Poppy for them, we love these jammies they are SO cute and so well made!
The effects of the sickies were felt after they left. Braden has been SO tired and fell asleep again. Love his dirty little playing-outside feet. I successfully carried him to his bed so he could finish napping and he ended up having a 2 hour nap. He and Ethan always overlap, but only about 15 minutes!

Aw rainbows and matching pj's!! Love it! Sorry about the stitches. Homer was only 15 months old I think when he needed 5 stitches in his forehead. So scary! 🙁
Laughed like crazy at the dirty feet!! <3
I love all of your photos. The last one and the rainbow are my favorite!

Thanks! I wish the mesh was more see-through…very hard to actually observe the critters!
Ethan's eyelashes!!!! Holy moly. Why do boys always get the best eyelashes. And I agree with the other ladies – very familiar and fond of dirty feet around here and the rainbow is amazing!

This kid has AMAZING eyelashes and his mama is SO jealous…boys really do get the best eyelashes. I would normally cringe at displaying dirty feet, but I really do love the photo!
LOVE these. That rainbow is great. We live in pajamas. Ha! Hope his chin heals quickly.
Thanks so much, Sarah!
That rainbow is goregous!!! I hope you guys have a much better weekend. Poor Ethan! Ugh! At least you were able to remove his stitches yourself.

I'm glad I had a 'lazy' photo day and waiting until the lastish minute to take my photo! And yes….nice to be a nurse mom sometimes to use those skills!
Sarah! That last picture, the dirty feet! That is my favorite picture from you so far this year! I'd print that one!
