As I mentioned last week, I’m going to be doing a Project 365 next year! For those who don’t know what a P365 is, it’s committing to taking 1 picture every day and blogging about it. Some bloggers post their picture every day (not going to happen for me!) and others do a weekly or monthly round-up. I am teaming up with a new blogging friend Stephanie and my Catch the Moment host Mindi and we’ll be hosting a weekly link up and have formed a Facebook support group to encourage and inspire each other! Please feel free to join our group on Facebook if you’re going to start your Project 365. I’ve already had a few emails and comments of interest, so will you commit to joining us? I’m going to start January 1, but you can start/join at any time in the year. If you’re currently doing a P365 we’d love to have you link up with us, share you expertise, and love of photography. If you’re not a blogger and want to participate, you could start a blog to document your P365! Blogger is extremely user friendly and I’ve heard the same about Tumblr, but don’t have any personal experience with it. I am going to strive to use my DSLR every day, but if for some reason it’s not possible, I’ll just use my iPhone.
Another exciting thing to come from my collaboration with these great friends is that we’ve decided to adapt our current monthly Catch the Moment link up to “Catch the Moment 365“. I’m so excited to start this project and watch all of us grow and learn together, I can’t even contain myself! We’re still working out the details, but for now it seems like we will be hosting a weekly link up on Fridays, starting Friday January 10th, so we will have lots of pictures to start off our first link up vs. only 3! Mindi and I will host our last monthly Catch the Moment on Monday January 6 and then it will change to the weekly 365 link up. Stephanie is working out a button for branding this great project!
Not only will this project be great for getting to know my camera even better and practicing literally every day, but it will be a great way to document a whole year of our lives in photos. Don’t be scared, bite the bullet and join us!!
