We traveled to Edmonton the morning of Braden’s birthday (1 week ago) to spend a few days with Ben, Jess, & Abby while Jay was at a farming conference. I was not feeling very well and was kind of emotional about being along on Braden’s birthday (I don’t even know why!) so it was really special to be able to spend Braden’s birthday with them, and also….Uncle Ben is his birthday buddy.
Auntie Jess made the boys cupcakes and Braden was in heaven. He sure loves his Auntie and Uncle, thanks you guys for making his birthday so special! Then we headed back home and had his party. The only people that could come were his Schultz cousins, but it was just absolutely perfect! We decided to have a construction birthday party…but I’m a self-professed non-Pinterest mom, so I really did not go all out…at all!
Blake is almost 6 months old!
Thanks be to technology everyone got to say hi to Grandma and Papa in Maui!
I have a feeling a lot of our family pictures will end up looking like this from now on! It was an absolutely gorgeous day out so Jay, Joy, and Mark took all the kids (minus the babies), outside to enjoy some sledding!
And the babies just hung out inside. Ethan is 3.5 months and Blake is almost 6 months. Not such a big size difference anymore!

Looks like a successful day nonetheless. Hope spending the time with your family made you not so emotional. It's hard when our babies turn older…It just affirms they aren't babies anymore and that is depressing!
