Baby Registry Online Made Easy! #SearsBabysRoom

This month as a Sears Baby’s Room ambassador our challenge was to create a baby registry. Since I’m definitely not in the market to be making a registry of my own, I’ll guide you through the process! I find it very helpful when I’m trying to buy a gift for a baby shower if the mom has a registry made. That way you can be assured you’re getting a gift that mom wants and likely needs. So how do you set up a baby registry? Well, there’s two ways. You can do it the good old fashioned way by making an appointment, going to your local Sears, & using the registry gun…or, you can do it online! I’m going to show you how easy it is to make a Sears baby registry online!

1) Go to the Sears Canada Gift Registry page and you will see this:

2) Click “Baby Registry‘” and it will take you to this form:

3) Simply register! If you’re stuck and aren’t quite sure what you need, especially as a first time mom, they also have a baby registry guide and a baby registry checklist if you’re not quite sure where to start.

Do you have more questions about Sears Canada’s baby registry? Be sure to check out their awesome FAQ page!

This is particularly appealing to me as a mom who lives in rural Alberta with my closest Sears Canada store over an hour away. I really commend Sears for having the option to register online – clearly they know how hard it can be for mothers sometimes!

The Waiting Game

When I was pregnant with Braden, I chose to register at Sears for one main reason that I think has been drawing Canadian moms to register there for years…the Sears Canada  Baby Registry “Waiting Game” contest! If you haven’t heard of this awesome contest, it’s an amazing opportunity to win the value of everything on your registry! All you need to do is create a registry, register for items, and then correctly guess baby’s arrival date! The date can be changed up to two times, at least 60 days prior to the original guess date.  If the baby does indeed arrive on the guessed date, the winners will be awarded coupons equivalent to the net amount of items purchased off of the registry! The most recent winner won just over $3000 to spend back in The Baby’s Room! When I registered….I registered for almost everything, it would have been really cool to win my registry, I was planning on donating a lot of the stuff if I did win! But, the little stinker arrived 4 days past my guess date – oh well!

Savings on Your Remaining Items

Did you know that as a registrant with Sears Canada, you will receive a completion coupon in the mail that entitles you to receive 10% off most items remaining on your baby registry? (Basically all nursery products excluding furniture). As long as you have items left on your list, you will receive a coupon in the mail. That’s pretty amazing! If you don’t get some items you want, you still get to take advantage of savings!

Did you make a baby registry for your kids?

  1. I didn't even know Sears had a baby registry. Even though Sweet Potada is my second daughter and we were not having a baby shower I still registered. I went through Target, just because they have a completion discount. Anything still left on your registry after arrival date can be purchased for 10% off.

    • Well, I\’m glad that you know now! I\’m not sure what Sears in the States does, but with The Waiting Game it\’s really neat to be able to win your entire registry!
