I am no rookie when it comes to cloth diapering, but I still have yet to experience all the wonders of the fluffy world and I was very excited to try out the Thirsties Duo All In One cloth diaper. I chose my diaper in a size one in the Blackbird print as we didn’t know what Ethan would be and it’s a nice gender neutral print (I am ALL about the prints in cloth diapers!)
So what is an All In One (AIO) diaper? Essentially it’s the cloth version of the traditional diaper. No stuffing, no folding – it’s literally “all in one” as the name suggests! Allow this picture to visually explain it to you!
A little bit about this awesome company:
The mission of Thirsties, Inc. is to make it easy and affordable for every family to choose cloth while simultaneously investing in our local economy and sustainable business practices.
Only the best USA-sourced components are chosen for our products in order to reduce our carbon footprint, to help support domestic textile mills and our local economy, and to ensure that Thirsties diapers will last wash after wash. We are committed to creating only the highest quality products and dedicated to providing exceptional design and unparalleled performance while saving you money.
All Thirsties products are USA-made by a group of very talented women, many of whom work in the comfort and convenience of their own homes. With your support, we are able to employ more staff each year, helping to support more families in our local community.
It’s a fact that cloth diapering is cheaper in the long run and one feature about the Duo AIO’s that I find particularly benficial is that they grow with your baby. They come in two sizes. Size one fits from approximately 0-9 months (6-18 lbs) and size two fits approximately 9-36 months (18-40 lbs) right up to potty training! Thirsties truly is an eco friendly company, check out how green they are!
What do I love about this diaper? What’s not to love? Look how cute it is, it’s trim fitting (Ethan is about 8 lbs in these pictures), it has not leaked on us, the lining is super soft, and it’s in my lineup for nighttime diapers. I cannot believe how much of a super soaker Ethan has become, even at only a few weeks old!
I am a fan of snap closures in general, as I personally feel that they last longer, but Thristies offers their products in both snap and aplix – it’s always wonderful to have a choice! If you’re new to cloth, or even if you just need a reminder, Thirsties has an excellent section for caring for your cloth on their website. Thirsties also makes customer service a priority to please feel free to contact them, they have truly been an amazing company to work with.
I was given this product free of charge to review, all opinions on this blog are, and always will be, my own!
